I mean, I think its kinda common to ask those things anyway. Like, especially if ur just talking to someone for the first time. Most people dont feel comfortable talking to someone about more important things, so its just a way to break the ice. :/

They don’t have to be important! I don’t expect people to spill their guts to me; that’s just weird. Just talk about anything other than school! Like I was at this party/ball-type-thing and this girl came up to me and started talking about has she has no willpower when it comes to tables full of desserts. I had never said a word to her before in my life and by the end of the night, we were talking like we’d known each other for quite some time.
