I don’t respond well to small talk. Simply because it does not interest me. If you want to actually get to know me, don’t ask me anything about classes, how I’m doing, where I’m from, etc. I will answer your question with a generic answer and then stop talking. Then it’ll just get hella awkward.

If you really want to have a conversation with me, and I hope you do, because I would love to have a decent conversation with anyone, talk to me about something completely random and off-the-wall. That will get more than a few words from me.

I would rather you come up out of the blue and ask me what my favorite cheese is than to ask me how I’m doing.
